Join us for Warren's Annual Christmas parade, "Home for the Holidays," on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 6:30pm in downtown Warren, PA! This traditional parade involves the whole community and culminates with the arrival of Santa to officially start the holiday season in Warren! 

We are currently seeking all types of units for the parade (floats, walking units, bands, dance and twirling groups,etc.). If you are interested in participating in the parade, please click HERE to download the registration form! The exact parade route will be published on November 15. 

Many downtown businesses will also have special events and activities at their location that evening as a part of the Christmas Walk, and as we receive information about them, we will post them on this page as well! Vita Bella Italian Caffe 340 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren will have ornament decorating and face painting for the kids.  Each child will receive a Christmas treat.  The table is being sponsored by Caring For Life.    Adults can treat themselves to warm Holiday Speciality Drinks, Holiday Food, and Pastries at 10% off all night long!

The Crossing 350 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, will have the Elks Band for entertainment from 6-8pm.

Order of the Arrow Boy Scouts will be selling their roasted chestnuts on the sidewalk outside of PNC bank on Liberty

Nice Ash Cigar 332 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, in the storefront next to Nice Ash, there will be an artwork/photography display by Elissa Davis

Struthers Library Theatre  302 West Third Avenue, Warren,  the A.R.T.E./Youth Connection/A.R.T.E. Jr.  programs will present their program "Christmas Memories" at 8:00pm

City of Warren Annual lighting of the Christmas Tree at the municipal building immediately following the parade. 


Crary Art Gallery 511 Market Street, Warren. Through Irish Eyes,paintings by local painting legend Irish Smith. The Public is invited to the opening reception Friday, December 6, 6-9pm.
Entertainment by Madrigals- A Retrospective look at the work of the late Shirley (Irish) Smith, including a large number of works from her earlier days in West Virginia. Many of the paintings will be for sale, while others are on loan from local collections. A rare opportunity to see the work and celebrate the life of Irish.

Allegheny Book Mart 314 2nd Avenue, Warren will be serving hot cider and have live musical entertainment in the store from 6-8pm.

Allegheny River Fly Fishing Company 418 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren will have marshmallow roasting, hot cider and chestnuts throughout the evening. 


 
Allegheny Center for the Arts will present stories, music and art from after the parade until 8:00 in the store next to Nice Ash at  332 Second Ave.,

    There will be Christmas songs played between story times by the Ukulele group called HULA.
 
    There will be two Christmas art projects to do: Five Finger/Handprint snowman ornaments         and Christmas pages to color.
 
    People will be able to wish Warren and friends a Merry Christmas that will be filmed and put       on Youtube.

Relay for Life Team Sidekicks- in front of McKissock, Liberty Street, Warren. We will have chances on baskets, information on Relay and Cancer prevention

The Times Observer will be wrapping its front pillars in newsprint for the night of the Christmas Walk. Anyone who donates at least $1.00 to Relay for Life will receive a cupcake die-cut to personalize and place on the pillars.The cupcake die-cuts are available now at the Times Observer at the front desk. They will also be available the night of the Christmas Walk at the Times Observer from members of Relay for Life.


Christie's Downtown Pub and Grill 229 1/2 Pennsylvania Avenue West will have Tom and Jerry specials throughout the evening. 

Central Pennsylvania Investment and Wealth Management Co. 229 Liberty Street, Warren will have a chocolate dipping station with all kinds of treats and will also be a Toys for Tots drop off point.  

Warren Women's Club 310 Market Street, Warren. Open house with a pianist playing Christmas Music. They'll also be offering cookies and punch.

Allegheny Outfitters/Allegheny Cyclery 430/436 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren will have will have hot chocolate, homemade cookies and live music, including the Conewango Clippers Barbershop Chorus. The Puro Co. will be selling homemade soaps and pet treats at AO, and Sasquatch Claus will be roaming between our shops spreading the holiday cheer!

Rent One 215 Liberty Street, Warren will be open through the evening with refreshments.

Linda Dies Dance Express will be selling holiday wreaths on Liberty Street.

Prudential 308 Market Street, Warren will host their annual open house from 5-8pm. Food will be provided by the Plaza Restaurant.

The Donut Man- Tony Ceriola will be located on Liberty Street with fresh made mini-donuts all evening.
